AGES Elections: Call for Nominations

The nominations are requested for the AGES board for the year 2008-09. Please nominate yourself or your friend with a brief essay supporting the nomination and email it to ages@cec.wustl.edu. Please also email ages@cec.wustl.edu, if you have any questions about the posts or the elections. The deadline for the nominations is April 21, 2008 at 11:59 pm. Deadline to withdraw a nomination is April 22, 2008, 11:59 pm. Nominees will be announced on April 23, 2008 and elections will be held via e-mail and paper ballot on April 24, 2008.

2) Secretary  (One position)
3) Events Chair (Two positions)
4) GPC representatives from the AGES board (Two positions)
5) Treasurer (One position)
6) Webmaster (One position)

Big Fish Award Call for Nominations

The Big Fish Award is given each spring by AGES to recognize an engineering professor who is a great mentor, teacher, and guide to graduate students.  To nominate your favorite professor submit his or her name to ages@cec.wustl.edu.  Include a short statement (not more than 200 words) describing why you think this professor should win the Big Fish Award. You could also send in the professor's name as a simple nomination. For deciding the award winner the statements would be give more weight age than a simple nominations. Nominations for the Big Fish must be received by Midnight(11:59 PM), Sunday, April 20th, 2008.
