About FSAE:
The Formula SAE competition is for SAE student members to conceive, design, fabricate, and compete with open-wheel formula-style racing cars.
Restrictions are limited with respect to the body, frame, suspension, and engine to challenge the knowledge, creativity, and imagination of students.
The cars are built over a period of about one year and are taken to competitions for judging and comparison with
vehicles from colleges and universities throughout the world. There are currently four competitions in the United States (Formula VIR in Virginia,
Formula SAE in Detroit, Formula SAE West in California, and Formula Hybrid) and events in Brazil, Italy, Germany, Australasia, and England.
The end result is a great experience for young engineers in an all-encompassing engineering project with the opportunity to work with a dedicated team effort.
